1.   FOX R name was added to the Cheltenham War Memorial on 18th September 2016.

2.   FRY R G was discharged from the Army on 25th April 1917, due to wounds sustained in France serving with 1st Bn Glos Regt.

1.   Pte Valentine Wilfred Fry, Gloucestershire Regiment, is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial but returned to the town after the war having served over two years as a POW of the Germans.   He married in 1926 died at Cheltenham on 16th June 1977 aged 81.
