"Cheltonians" buried in this Cemetery

Pte George Stanley COOPER, 26th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, died of illness in Aldershot on 29th January 1916.   He is buried in Plot PAA.78.

He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial.

His only connection with Cheltenham is that he worked as a clerk in the National Provincial Bank in the Montpellier area of the town.

His parents, Mr and Mrs George Cooper, resided at 1 Tottenham Place, Bristol.
