"Cheltonians" buried and commemorated in this Cemetery

Captain Aubrey Lloyd St Clair THOMSON, MC, 1st Battalion Kings Liverpool Regiment is buried in the Cemetery.   He died of wounds in Manchester on 14th November 1917.  

He was wounded during the Battle of Cambrai and evacuated to a hospital in Manchester where he died.

Also commemorated on this headstone is his brother, Lt George Frederick Maynard Thomson, 11th Battalion Kings Liverpool Regiment, who died of wounds in France on 19th May 1917.

Both are commemorated on the St Stephen's Church Roll of Honour.

Their association with Cheltenham is not known at present.
