Pte Albert Edward HOPKINS, 12th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, is buried in Plot I, Row R, Grave 4.

He died of wounds in a medical unit in the Achiet area of France on 31st August 1918.   He was 34 years old.

Pte Hopkins is commemorated on the Staverton (St Catherine's Church) Roll of Honour.

His parents, Thomas and Mary Hopkins, resided in the village of Hayden, near Staverton, and he left a widow, Mrs Lizzie Maria Hopkins, of 4 Malvern Road, Worcester.
